Welcome to Elm class
Class teacher: Ms Wilson
Teaching Assistants: Mrs Hazell & Mrs Goldsmith
Ms Wilson, Mrs Hazell and Mrs Goldsmith would like to welcome you to Elm Class!
This is such an important time in your child's school life, where relationships are built between home and school. We will always aim to do our best to work closely with you, to ensure that your child has a smooth start to full time school. We hope that your child enjoys the new challenges and approaches to learning that Reception has to offer.
In Elm class the children learn through play and exploration.
Their learning is supported through the children's interests, adult directed activities and purposefully planned activities to support the children’s understanding in each area of the Early Years Curriculum.
The children will be provided the opportunities to work independently, in pairs, and in groups.
Much of the learning will be practical, allowing the children to develop both their understanding and their fine motor skills.
Throughout this academic year the children will be learning a variety of key skills through our exciting topics: Marvelous Me, Autumn is in the Air, Courageous Careers, Once Upon a Time, Bugs 'N' Grubs, Animals Habitats and Homes.
We look forward to working in partnership with you and your child.
