Number Day

On 7th February 2020 everyone at Hawthorn Park immersed themselves in the world of Maths and number, exploring and investigating a range of things such as shape and measure. Parents and Carers were invited in throughout the day to spend time with their children in lessons. We held a 5p challenge to see who could raise the most money!

Remembrance Sunday

On Sunday 11th November some pupils from Year 6 were chosen to represent the school and take part in the Houghton Regis memorial event. They met  at the War Memorial on the village green to lay a wreath and watch the lighting of the beacon next to the memorial. Afterwards the pupils presented some poetry by local poet ‘Keith Wallis’ and got the chance to act out the poem ‘War Girls' written by Jessie Pope in the memorial hall.

Books from Moto

February 2018, once again we would like to say a huge thank you to Moto for their kind donation of books to Hawthorn Park. The children are already enjoying them and we are all extremely grateful. 

KS2 present Cinderella Rockerfella

February 2018, Key Stage 2 did an amazing job with this years pantomime 'Cinderella Rockerfella', putting on a great show and demonstrated such confidence and commitment. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children who took part and the audiences that had the pleasure of watching.

NSPCC Number Day

February 2018, everyone at Hawthorn Park immersed themselves in the world of Maths and number on Friday, exploring and investigating a range of things such as shape, measure and a maths hunt around school. It was an extremely enjoyable day.

Year 5 and 6 visit Warner Bros Studio

January 2018, as part of our English curriculum both Year 5 and 6 visited the Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio. It was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and has opened our eyes to the world of magic.

Christmas Time at Hawthorn Park

December 2017, throughout this whole month Hawthorn Park has been filled with festivities, Christmas plays and even a yummy Christmas dinner. It has been a very busy final few weeks of this term but one that has been enjoyed by everybody. We would like to congratulate the children that performed whether it be to their parents or as part of choir, you all sang beautifully. Also, we would like to wish all the children, parents, families and staff a very Merry Christmas and a restful break.
