Hello, I am Miss Lewis and I am the SENDCo for Hawthorn Park.

Hawthorn Park Community Primary is an inclusive mainstream school. We fully comply with the requirements outlined in the Special Needs Code of Practice (2014).

During their time at school many children are identified as having a Special Educational Need or Disability (SEND). Sometimes these needs are short term and in other cases they may be ongoing.

As part of the Children and Families Bill 2014, all schools in Central Bedfordshire are required to publish details about how they can support children and young people with a Special Education Need and/or Disability (SEND).

On this section of the website, you can see details of how we support children with a Special Educational Need and/or Disability (SEND) at Hawthorn Park Community Primary School.
