Young Carers Group

We are aware that some of our pupils in school care for an adult or sibling with either a disability, illness or an additional need so we have decided to provide an after school young carer support group.

This group will be led by Deborah Dominique from Central Bedfordshire's Young Carers Service and Anne-Louise Kyte from Hawthorn Park.

If you consider your son/daughter to be a young carer, and they have not yet been invited to our group, then please speak to their class teacher or Anne-Louise Kyte.

During these sessions your child/ren will be able to participate in fun and creative activities that will help them understand the medical condition that their parent or sibling is experiencing. In turn your child/ren will make new friends, develop their self-confidence and learn new coping skills.

Upcoming sessions this year:

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, dates for the Young Carers upcoming sessions are to be confirmed with Central  Bedfordshire and we will keep you updated.

You will need to complete a consent form before your son/daughter can start attending these sessions.
